Hi Dudes,
I just talked to a guy, and have heard about this issue before. I couldn't replicate it, but now that I'm hearing about it again, I want to keep working on it and get more feedback.
This user described this:
He said 1.39 performed fine, but with 1.41, he imported his Oggs and the copy of his Ogg files on his built-in hard drive were corrupted, a skipping sound over and over at the beginning of each track. The copy of the Ogg file on his device was fine. Ultimately he fixed the problem by over-writing the hard drive's version with his Neuros'.
Anyone else have crazy stuff like that? Especially playback problems after importing into NSM, or problems in 1.41 that weren't there in 1.39.

Message: Kathryn, does NSM modify any tags when importing? Could NSM changing the tags incorrectly which corrupts the first few frames of the music data?
I don't know, just throwing out ideas...
It might be useful to do a binary diff of before and after import.

Sounds possible since the Vorbis tags are stored at the beginning of the file, rather than the end as ID3 tags are...

Message: I've had this same issue come up with Oggs as well. The first second or less is repeated about 4 times. I haven't looked at the files with a text or hex editor to see if i can make sense of the repititions.
I was running 1.39 when I first noticed this, and now am running 1.41 but have not noticed any new instances, but then again, i'm not sure if i've edited Ogg tags with NSM since upgrading to 1.41.
