Firmware 2.10 changes equalizer setting? Printed from: Neuros Forums Topic: Topic author: IceNine
Subject: Firmware 2.10 changes equalizer setting? I upgraded my firmware to 2.10 last night and used the MiFi as always on the way in to work this morning. At first, everything seemed fine but then I noticed that everything sounded a little tinny (as if the bitrate of the file had been greatly reduced). This was especially noticable with lyrics containing an "s" sound.

Reply author: adam.williamson1(at)btinternet.com Resurrecting an old thread, but - I've had this problem for a long time now and it won't go away. Bugs the hell out of me. Present on both official and Garbage firmwares, as of right now. I set my equalizer to off - I don't want any equalizing, thanks - and quite frequently it resets itself to pop for absolutely no apparent reason. You dom't want to know how hideous the start of Weezer sounds on Pop...guh. Can we please get this fixed?
Reply author: Matthias Halibrand Didn't ever heard of something like this, before, but did you reset the settings?
Reply author: Sottilde You know, I was wondering why my songs were sounding so terrible when NCast was on. I changed the equalizer to off and it made a good difference. The equalizer menu should really still stay on while NCast is on.
Reply author: adam.williamson1(at)btinternet.com yeah, the Pop equalizer setting is not only annoyingly sticky, it's also terrible. boosts the midrange so much it distorts like crazy. That's why I hate this so much. If it got stuck on Rock I'd probably be less teed off. :)
Reply author: Sottilde Well, you know... in the meantime, you could change your pop preset (i'm sure you never use it) to be completely neutral, so when it sticks to pop it won't matter because the preset doesn't do anything! :D
Reply author: adam.williamson1(at)btinternet.com it's official...i'm dumb. thanks for the stunningly obvious idea, man :) Neuros Forums : http://www.neurosaudio.com/community/forum/ © Copyright ©2002-05 Neuros Technology International, LLC all rights reserved. |
