Reply author: diffusor For me the ideal solution would be to have a configuration option to be able to disable the auto-on-when-plugged-in feature. I'm trying to train myself to not shut off my neuros when I come home until after I've plugged it in, but I still forget half the time.
Reply author: faisca my auto resume stopped working. has this happened to anyone else? i just manually power down the unit in the middle of a song. then, when i start it up, its supposed to be in the same spot i left it in. its not. it starts at the main menu. it was not plugged into a power source and i'm using firmware 2.16. thanks.
Reply author: Trig Thats odd... Have you tried reformatting your NAND?
Reply author: faisca yup. just reformatted flash and NAND. i was having, and may still be having, major power issues. my neuros was experiencing the "endless reboot cycle," not charging when plugged in (either wall or car) and now this. any ideas?

If you don't have anything plugged into it, then you might have something (like fuzz or pocket lint) stuck in there making the Neuros think it's charging. This will in turn drain the battery, which could resolve your power issues. The easiest way to get it out of this low-power state is to remove the backpack from the main unit and charge just the backpack for a couple of hours, overnight is best.
Reply author: faisca its strange, but the auto resume seems to be working again...for now. its still doing the constant recharge animation though. i cleared the holes pretty good too. also, the enless reboot cycle was occuring wether it was plugged in or not. and if i was able to shut it down manually, it would cut back on and continue the cycle whether it was plugged in or not. wtf!

quote: Like I said, if you get the endless reboot thing and you don't have anything plugged into the power jack, then the Neuros still thinks something is plugged into it. There's a microswitch in there that senses when something is plugged in. Either there is something stuck in there causing the microswitch to tell the Neuros that something is plugged in or you have a bad microswitch.
Reply author: dsummersl I love autoresume - but it's flaky: shouldn't the track still be paused when you start the neuros if the track is paused when the unit was shut down?? It doesn't, last time I checked. If the dang thing would just start up in the SAME state I left it in, then I would be happy.
