Subject: Problems w/ Sync

When I add music to my NSM, the files show up. Then I click the 'add to neuros' button. But when I sync everything goes smoothly, no problems, but the problems appear when I unplug my Neuros from the USB cable. I go and try and play one of the songs I just added and it's not there, NOTHING, I go check for another, again NOTHING. And also when I go to NEUROS AUDIO > ALBUMS > ARTISTS/ALL > (ALBUM NAME) > (SONG TITLE) and I try to play a song it will say NO RECORDS but this only happens when I try to get from the ALBUM to the song.

What is going on and how can I fix it?

Thanx in advance
-Cory

make sure that you are using the safely remove hardware option from the systray. this ensures that no write caching option is stopping your database from being updated on the unit.

There could be a few other things. Is the sync giving a message "sync completed successfully?"

When you look at NSM through add/remove programs, do you see two copies of NSM listed? If so, let us know. You will probably have to uninstall and reinstall 1.50.

I do use the safely remove device option, and never has this happened. And there isn't 2 NSM's in my Add/Remove Programs, just the 1. And I just tried Syncing again and it was completed sucessfully. But I just checked my NEUROS and it said that for some of the albums I have, that there were "No records available!" for the actual tracks. But when I go under NEUROS AUDIO > SONGS the songs that weren't in the albums section, are there just in the SONGS in general area. Weird. Pleaz help. What should I do?

And also when I view the song's INFO from the sub-menu, the album shows up, the same album that when I go under ALBUMS and view it says that there isn't any records for it.

Thanx for all your help so far. And thanx in advance for more help.

i would really recommend trying out Sorune or NDBM instead of NSM. NSM has slow import times and can get screwed up pretty easily it seems like. Both those sync managers have good features and are pretty reliable.

I was actually reading up on NDBM (is that right?) and it said something bout HiSi not working or something like that, true or not?

Which would you recommend and which do you use?

Crap! I downloaded Firmwave 2.15 (the newest, with the dj features) and it wouldn't even add that to my Neuros. Also this time when I unplugged the USB a message came up and said 'Error 0x####' (I don't remember the numbers) but it also said to hold the PLAY button to restart.
What is going on?!

2.15 is very old. 2.21 is the newest.

It turns out I did download 2.21 and not 2.15. But still, it won't show up though. I synced and still no added songs or anything.
What should I do? I really don't wanna have to learn how to use a whole new Neuros file manager thing.
