Subject: Searching computer for audio files...

Happening with NSM 1.42 and 1.50.

I asked the NSN to Search my computer for music... and it starts.
After a couple minutes it just stops searching, all the while it's trying to search. All mu music is under the My Documents
My music subfolders.

It seems to stop at the very same spot evey time.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure it stops searching? or just that the message window stops updating? In NSM 1.50 there should be a glowing progress indicator in the lower-right corner. If that's still glowing, then it's still working.

The message window stopped updating... but I did notice the glowing indicator glowing. But after a while, 30 - 60 minutes (I have a little over 6000 songs), I just cancelled the process because I didn't know what was happening.

About how long should this take givem the amount of files just so I know?

Thanks!!

I have 4500 songs and it takes NSM about three hours to find them all, if I recall correctly.

Let it run over night. Sleeping is your friend when dealing with NSM.

NSM stalls for me too. Also, it cancels the scan immediately following the stall, so I am unable to leave it running. :(
