Subject: Double song listing in NSM after search
Posted on: 09/08/2004 12:25:56 PM
Message:
Since loading songs for the first time to the Neuros yesterday, I've ripped more CDs. To get NSM to list the newly loaded songs, I had it search the computer again for music. NSM added what was already on the NSM database over again so now I have each song 2 times.
Any way to clear the double song from the list?
As not to have this happen again, how do I search for new music and not search for or double the same old songs? Basiclly I just want it to find what's changed and that's it.
Thanks!

Message: I did just what you did, but the result I got was different. During the second "search", NSM recognised all tracks that had previously been ID, and skipped them (gave me message that it was doing it) - it loaded only new tracks since previous search. I did not do anything special to effect this.
As for clearing the doubles, I'd clear the whole thing and then do a search.

Message: I've gotten this using Sorune. Rebuilding the database tends to fix it.

Message: I would try NDBM if I could get it to work.
Sorune loads files but my Neuros says there are no songs on it after I sync and load.

Message: Noiz,
Thanks, that did it. Wonder why Sorune doesn't have help built into it.
Edit: Found the help file with the extracted ZIP file. Silly me.

Message: Since the last version sorune got much more understandable due to shiny new icons! So there is almost no need for a description inside the program itself! It's all visual self explainatory! (Don't know if this word exists, it sounds nice)

Message: Matthias,
That's all fine and dandy until the message box tell you you need to select the song you want to delete from the "Audio Browser". I had to RTFM (after I found the manual) to find out where the audio browser was.

Message: Yeah, I wasn't this serious with my post. It's just that I made the new icons! And I just like to show my work! I will have a word with Darren if he could put the help inside the program! Shouldn't be this much effort!
