ALLOFMP3.? Printed from: Neuros Forums Topic: Topic author: mdt123
Subject: ALLOFMP3.? Legal issues withstanding, I've been checking out ALLOFMP3.com for a while now. It seems that some people here have had a good experience. I was wondering if people have used it since they stopped the PayPal option. That service has been "temporary unavailable" for a while now. I'm not too keen on giving them my credit card. How's it been working for others?

Reply author: brewer13210 I had the same fear and concern, especially dealing with a company in a foreign country, but a few months ago threw caution to the wind and put an extra $10 on my account with my debit card. Transaction went through with no hitches and I haven't seen any suspicious activity on my card after the fact.
Reply author: 8thNote When I first registered with AllofMP3.com, I used my credit card through their system. I later did discover I was overcharged by about 17 cents but I also discovered a $1 credit to my account. So I guess I got the better deal.
Reply author: pokereth They have a new option -- I used it two days ago -- that lets you use PayPal through a third party.
Reply author: mdt123 Hmm, I was on it today, but didn't see anything about Paypal. Pokereth, is it that you can buy that pre-paid XROST iCard with Paypal? I'll look into that.

Reply author: Derek i have been using allofmp3 and have had a good experience so far...all the songs have been great quality with good dl speed, i have been using my credit card and have not found any extra charges, and i have been checking my bank statements. downsides: not sure if its legal...and it takes them a little bit to get the new albums sometimes. Im still waiting for the new simple plan album.
Reply author: xercist I find it interesting that everyone is afraid to give their credit card number to a forign company with a good reputation, but has no worries about giving it to an American company known to screw people (http://www.paypalsucks.com/).
Reply author: brewer13210 The major problem is when you're dealing with a company in a foreign country, and something goes awry, finding any recourse can be very difficult.
Reply author: mdt123 That's right, any on-line transaction is risky. But knowing the Co. was located in another country made me question the possible complications a little more. I, myself, have yet to have a problem with PayPal. That was an interesting site though.
Reply author: Mantis I seem to remember Allofmp3.com is based in Russia. And it violates U.S. copyright law. Good luck cancelling.
Reply author: brewer13210 As a company based in Russia, it would be subject to Russian copyright laws, not US copyright laws. According to the site, they claim to abide by Russian copyright laws, but of course that's debatable.

Reply author: Derek i read something the other day saying that the record companys or someone was trying to shut the site down. But allofmp3 claimed that they were doing nothing against the law...and the funniest part was that the russian govt. refused to take any action against them.
