Track name editing within NSM Printed from: Neuros Forums Topic: Topic author: jamesmichaelbaldwin(at)rogers.com
Subject: Track name editing within NSM I'm wondering if it will be possible to edit song titles, artists, etc. in future NSM upgrades. I have a large library of files and not all of the titles transferred correctly from my iTunes tags. I'd rather not have to go through the tedious process of going to properties, and editing the file info through there for every song. Thanks! JMB

Reply author: loup You can edit song titles, artists, etc. in nsm already, in fact if you select multiple tracks at once you can set them all the the same artist, album, genre, comments, year. But to change track title you have to do them one at a time. Just select the track(s) right click and choose properties. It's not the easiest way of doing it but it works okay. another program called SnackAmp (snackamp.sourceforge.net) will works better, it has a nice table style editor but doesn't work properly with ogg tags, there's another one that I found that works great but I can't seem to find it at the moment, if I do find it though I'll post to let you know
Reply author: PeregrineBF Entagged is a nice mass tagging program. Cross platform, rather fast, and with a good syntax.
Reply author: The J TagScanner (http://xdev.narod.ru/tagscan_e.htm) is a pretty nice program, but it works only with *.mp3 files. TagScanner also allows you to interconvert tags with either APE, IDv1.1, or ID3v2.3 (v2.3 or v1.1 is needed for NDBM). If you have *.wma files that you need to edit, I like using Windows Media Player 10 to do it (it allows for mass tagging also).
