So I heard someone muttering about the end of HiSi here in this thread:

But I just shrugged it off. I haven't heard from any of the DI folk about the likelihood of HiSi getting cut.

However, the firmware 2.27 release notes state (and actually using the firmware confirms) that HiSi has been disabled. Single or double clicking while playing the radio only activates the record function.

I obviously missed the memo here. Is this for good? If so, I'm curious why. It's not exactly a showstopper for me, but it was a nice little option. Did the service with Emusic cost too much for DI to continue it's contract? Was community support of the feature too lukewarm to warrant its continued support? What’s the Buzz?

Ahh, didn't see those. I'm not surprised DI only got one or two calls since the service went down. It's a nifty feature, but I seem to remember someone someplace describing it as "the coolest unused feature on the Neuros". Sad but true. Thanks for the links Darren!

For me, the main thing keeping me from using it is the fact that I don’t use NSM. Ah well. If DI can take the funds they would have put into a partnership and redeploy it for higher priority things (Top of my list being Firmware dev, but who's to say what’s cooking down in Neuros Land?), then I think I'd be happy with that.
