I like it so far, the Neutris is pretty sweet. I just wish instead of it dropping straight down it would just go faster. The only other change I see is that MyFi is called NeuroCast. Sounds cool though.

What are you looking at?

...and HiSi has been completely ditched ..which is great 'cos i've never used it anyway, but it still doesn't prevent you from accidentally interuppting playback by bumping the orange button ..but i guess that's what the HOLD button is for!

Is this version somehow merged with GarBage's?
I would like to be able to neutris, but I won't like to loose the GarBage features!
THX for replying,

nope ..i suspect the whole point of this update was to simply showcase the tetris clone ..i doubt it'll take long for GarBage to add this to his build assuming the source is already available for it ..personally though : the only thing stopping me from using GarBage's firmware is that NDBM doesn't yet support the new firmware versioning system, as a result, the "albums under artist" functionality is lost upon rebuild ..something which i'm not yet prepared to live without... .. .

Try it out!

www.sorune.com

I just received a mail asking for some more icons, so Darren is adding some new functions right at the moment!
And the 0.4 is quite nice to use!

Matthias

edited Kevin to Darren, since I mixed them up!

I would suspect that the real purpose of this update was to eliminate the word MyFi from appearing and replacing it with NeuroCast. I bet Neutris was thrown in as an incentive to get people to download what is, otherwise, a small firmware update. Just a guess...

am i missing some controversy over the name "MyFi"? ..'cos unless there was some legal requirement or something like that, i think that the name change is just a very minor thing which just makes a little more sense... .. . and people were quiet excited about the whole tetris thing when kborn mentioned it a while back ..personally i be happy to do without stuff like tetris, hisi and the dj controls { all of which i never use } in favour of more useable features - and there are plenty of them which need attention in my opinion... .. .

Yeah, there is a legal issue. NA sold the name -- to XM Radio I think. Since they sold it they can no longer use it.

I note that MYFi and HiSi are still the 2 most prominent features that hit you in the face when visiting the Neuros home page. It is also still MyFi in the flash demo.

eh, i think NeurosCast is cooler anyway. who needs myfi when you have cooler names like NeurosCast. plus Neurtris is cool, although i am waiting for a space invader games or a block dude type game. we can work our way from there to mortal combat type games, and then we can port halo to the neuros... muah aha ha ha ha haaaa....

Yes, Neutris is awesome, I would agree. Any plans for a high-score record?

I'm having one problem with the new firmware though. Has the key combination to record from the mic changed? Does just pressing or double pressing the orange button still start it, because that isn't working when I try it. I assume this has something to do with HiSi being removed (which I, too, never once used)...
