Hi,

I recently bought Neuros 30gb. I have read on this forum about the issue with myfi reception. I am facing similar problem, I am not able to get good reception in the San Francisco area. I am not sure what is the latest suggestion in this regard to improve the reception. There is a lot of static.

Thanks,
-GK2005

Have you tried 103.3? Wrongrobot suggested it a while ago on this thread...

The hard way is to make your own antenna, plug it into the RF hole in the Neuros, and open up the Neuros and connect the RF hole (though not necessarily in that order). Rumor is this improves reception. There are threads on this forum that give details.
The easy way to improve reception is to press your thumb on the "N" in "Neuros" at the bottom of the player.

i have put on an external dipole antenna(and done the soldering thing) and went from good reception at 10-15 ft. to good reception at 100-150 ft. So it does work if you got the balls to open it up and mess with it.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I tried FM 103.3 works better but still not as per the expected reception. I guess I'll try the antenna thing next.

Doing the antenna kills your warranty, right? I don't think I have the courage for that.

Can you describe said antenna? I'd love to wind it up a bit...

Thanks
