Subject: firmware 2.27 is f-ing awesome i definatly like the changing of the name of myfi to neuros cast, and best of all, i love neutris. adding tetris to an already awesome music player is luxury in excess. keep it coming.

Reply author: butterbean I upgraded my unit around the 1st of the month, and just noticed this problem yesterday. Basically when listening to the radio, the stations would cut out as if they were not transmitting, but once i scanned up and back down, or hit the preset again, the sound would come back for a little while.

I agree with you, there are many functions other than Neutris that I'd much rather see added or enhanced. (Improved recording metering for one)

quote: Thanks for the tip, I'd hoped that DI's most recent firmware would have included something like those meters. Excellent. Alot of nice features. Unfortunately I'm having some problems with this particular firmware. Most notably I'm not able to get out of record mode. When I stop recording the "finished recording" message is shown, but I can't escape back to the main menu w/out a 2 finger shutdown. I hate doing that knowing how lacking in robustness the vfat filesystem can be. Am I missing something? I'll try the other garBage firmware and see if I have better luck. Also an easy way to tell the neuros WHAT to record (mic, radio, etc) I'd be as happy as a canoeist in whitewater :-)

I no longer get the lockup when I finish recording, still get the nice meters, but (at least when recording from the internal mic) after I finish recording nothing shows up in the recordings menu. Wierd. If I mount the player under linux the files are listed in the WOID_RECORD directory as they should be, and they get moved to the proper directory on my computer when synced. I just can't listen to them on the neuros without re-copying them (using sorune) to the neuros and then syncing again Not a major problem for my purposes but it does leave you not knowing wether your recording was successful or not. Thanks for encouraging me to try the other firmware. Haven't decided what I will stick with yet, GarBage for now I guess
Reply author: Sottilde Yeah. GarBage's newest firmware forgets to add the recordings to the database. I'm sure it'll get fixed.
