This only lasts ~ 30 sec. then it goes to std. phone mode. If this could be disabled it would be nice. The FCC might get pissed though.

Reply author: goodayforme I only have the Neuros 1, but I've been using an external antenna system that works quite well. I keep my Neuros in the Case Logic cover that was available as an accessory when I bought it- the case plays a role in the antenna set-up. I'm sure you've heard about the "thumb-over-insignia" trick that boosts the MyFi clarity and range. The only problem is having to constantly hold the Neuros which can get uncomfortable and inconvenient very quickly. I have found that by placing the jack of a pair of headphones or a hands-free cell phone earpiece over the Neuros insignia just under the play button I can achieve a drastic increase in signal clarity and broadcasting range, at least as good as if not better than the improvements achieved with my thumb. Again, however, keeping the jack in place presents somewhat of a problem. That's where the Case Logic case comes into play. The headphone jack tucks nicely between the case and the Neuros right below the play button, effectively holding the jack in place over the Neuros insignia. I had my Neuros playing in my kitchen and was recieving a reasonably clear signal in my car at least 75 feet away, and through several walls! Also, I've been able to have friends access my broadcast when they've been following my vehicle, although we didn't do any distance testing.
