Reply author: guttrhead(at)gmail.com you can sort-of do that with the neuros. If you have the new beta firmware, the file browser looks through what is physically on the disk, no data base required. If you don't use that, you can put stuff on without the manager, but you have to use the manager to rebuild the database before you can play them. Keep a copy of one of the managers on the neuros so you'll always have it with you no matter what computer your using.
Reply author: jimbo(at)pybe.co.uk I keep the latest copy of sorune on the player itself and run it from there as well, that way anywhere I am I can add stuff to it. You can even get a "portable" version of thunderbird http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/portable_thunderbird/ designed to run from usb keys etc plonk that on there and take your mail every where with you.

quote: just install the latest beta firmware and use the "file browser" feature on the neuros. copy the files on your neuros via windows explorer and voila'. thats enough for me :=)

quote: Nothing directly, just that not only can you keep music & files on the neuros but using the link above you can have a portable version of Thunderbird mail app that requires no install an keeps the mails on the neuros as well. so you can take them any where, plug the neuros into your mates pc or an internet cafe pc, run the app from the neuros and download all your mail to it. I find it pretty usfull any way..

Reply author: tecxx you can format your drive if you want
Reply author: timrw(at)canada.com I liked the file browser when I first saw it, but except for emergencies, it's too slow to be practical.
Reply author: james.j(at)sac-roper.com Looks great! Now if we can program directories to the programmable buttons and add and remove songs to your playlists (as well as create a playlist via the firmware) quote: Neuros Forums : http://www.neurosaudio.com/community/forum/ © Copyright ©2002-05 Neuros Technology International, LLC all rights reserved. |
