A thought I have for something that would be neat to have in the firmware: the ability to select an artist or an album to the MyMix list instead of having to do it track-by-track. Ways I can think of to add this into the UI:

1) hold down the right button on an album/artist brings up a menu with the option (this could also allow deletion of the group)

2) selecting right on a track when in an artist/album view has an 'Add all to MyMix' option.

Or am I blind, and something like this already exists?

I agree. The XI menus are severly underutilized considering how prominent that feature is on the on the box advertising. Stuff like this doesn't seem like it would be hard to implement for someone who knows how to code (meaning not me). What you ask for and the ability to jump to the song or album list of the song playing when on random should have been in long ago.
