I have looked all over the site and can find no manuals in PDF form or even screen shots of the 442 in operation.

Am I being a typical clueless male and tripping over a stash of such things without seeing them?

Thanks.

You are not being clueless. We will add a pdf document on the main site shortly. I might also be able to add it to our wiki tomorrow. Manuals and intructions will be in the 442 package as well.

I agree, I'm not a techy and I dont understand the instructions at all. In fact, I have the unit and pretty much need to figure out how to use this thing on my own. I hope I can.

I just read the manual for the first time. This doc really needs to be rewritten before it is released to the general public, but it sort of gets some questions answered. My favorite part:

"Non-use Period
To prevent unnecessary power leakage, we recommend to use the “Lock” key
when it is unused."

Great!

I also learned that it specifically mentions that Xvid is unsupported, although some of the files may play. That's why nothing worked when I followed the Wiki!
