Hello!

It would be great if the next N3 (audiophile and portable, is it possible?) could play AAC files. In fact, it is even mandatory for me, as most of my music is encoded in AAC 224kbps, which I think is the best ratio SQ/Quantity of data storage used.

I'm still wondering why no other portable audio devices than the iPod can support AAC. It is however not Apple property!! (of course, i'm not talking about DRMized files) Why supporting WMA instead?

To conclude, I must say this product seems to fulfill my dreams and I'm ready to buy one the day it comes out... provided I can listen to my AAC files with!

i think the n3 should have AAC support as long as the files arnt DRM'd. I think this since the 442 has built in support for the AAC codec - http://neurosaudio.com/store/prod_442specs.asp - but i could be wrong.

Yes, I hope it will follow the path of the 442 but the wiki does not mention AAC: http://www.theneuros.com/index.php/Category_Roadmap:Neuros_III

Hopefully it just need to be updated!

I know it's wrong to "assume" but from the N3 Wiki site, http://www.theneuros.com/index.php/Category_Roadmap:Neuros_III I would think there is a possiblity of having the support based on the statement "Supported Formats -- WAV, MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, Audible, and more". But that's just the way I'm reading it. Ron

I think neuros should put AAC support on the N3 and bundle HYMN software with the bundle. That way people can take their itunes songs, strip the drm and play it on the N3 without having to transcode it.

That would be great. But even barebones AAC support is a must. I'm tired of converting things from iTunes libraries... (*ahem*... uh... MY library).

Honestly, with the popularity of iPod/iTunes, it's a must.
