Hi!

Well, let me ask you a question: what is the single, most annoying thing in Neurocast? If you answered "having to change frequencies while driving around" you're right!

I was driving around and listening to a radio station, when the car jumped frequencies to get a better frequency. Then it hit me: why not have this in Neuros?

I don't know if you have RDS in the USA, I assume so. It's basically a system that allows for radios to automatically change frequencies for a given radio station to get the best reception possible. It also allows for sending the station name and that sort of thing.

So I was wondering, is it possible to implement this in Neuros 3? The Neuros could do a background check for open frequencies and change frequencies automatically, all the while signaling frequency changes to the car radio. That would be incredibly cool!

Hi Proton,

if you search the forum you will see that RDS was discussed for quite a time now, in the forums. Noone of Neuros Inc. has commented on it, yet, so they either won't do it at all, or they will surprise us with it!
I doubt it will be possible to do the frequency-change-thing, cause the Neuros III would have to be able to send and receive at the same time to check for better frequencies.
But at least it would be possible to see trackname and artist on your radiodisplay! :)

So, welcome to the community,

Its not crazy actually. MyFi could transmit this info on the Neuros I/II if someone were to write the code.

Of course it could. That's exactly the point. It could, but someone crazy has to write the code!
