Reply author: brewer13210 The reason for the sync software is that it writes the database entries. On a little 1GB player, you have what...30-40 songs? On my 30 GB Neuros, I have over 5000. It would take an insane amount of time for the device to read through all of the file tags and create a directory structure every time you started it up.

Reply author: Zithromax There was some talk months back about the Neuros creating its own database. Supposedly Joe had discovered a way to do it, but it was never implemented. I'm skeptical of the Neuros' ability to do it quickly. Either way it won't be added to the firmware. I think that firmware development on the Neuros is done.
