Missing Memory Printed from: Neuros Forums Topic: Topic author: TTS52
Subject: Missing Memory When I check the 442 memory using Properties on Windows it says that I have a total of 37.2G, 29.8G used and 7.37G free. When I add up folder by folder the memory used I get about 20G. Where is the missing 10G?

Reply author: Derek one thing you may want to try is this: if you delete files off the 442 when it is plugged into the computer...you have to empty the recycle bin before you unplug the device. otherwise the files wont show up but they will still be there.
Reply author: bzr I also had this problem and found out if the 442 crashed during recording the memory used by the recording was still occupied but no file was created that could be deleted. I had to pull the good files off of the 442 format the drive and reload the files. Once I did this the numbers matched.
Reply author: TTS52 I have had a couple of instances where I was recording and no record of the recoring was made. If I reformat what does that do to the firmware?
Reply author: Teh Internet Police Formating will do nothing to the firmware. It will erase all of the content on the player, though.
Reply author: TTS52 I reformatted and got some memory back. Neuros Forums : http://www.neurosaudio.com/community/forum/ © Copyright ©2002-05 Neuros Technology International, LLC all rights reserved. |
