I know that this is not currently possible, and I have seen others ask about it.

I wanted to know...

  • How many others would like to see this besides me?

  • Is it even possible to do a dual mode via a menu command in leiu of an auto-detect?

  • Is it already on the list of wants?...If so, I assume the answer is 4Q of 2003?

Thanks,
Bryan

So, the range of neuroscasting (nee myfi) can be greatly extended with a 'grey' third party hack ? That is so fricken cool I can't believe it.
Any stats on the new limits of range ?

Could someone hack it maybe? Then DI wouldn't be responsible. Not that I would ever do anything illegal

Hero,
From what I understand, the reason why the Neuros does not currently allow this is because of FCC regulations. Evidently having the headphones plugged in would allow the headphone wire to act as an antenna, boosting MyFi power beyond acceptable levels (to the FCC, anyway).

I'm pretty sure DI is working towards making MyFi better. They just have to deal with the FCC regulations (and us!--which is worse? ).

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but at least now you know why it isn't possible.
