Posted - 01/25/2005 : 9:36:30 PM Has anyone managed to find a good stream ripper that does a good job of splitting songs. I have tried using plugins for winamp, iradio and others with no luck...if you do find a good one what are your settings and what kind of radio stations?

I just started using RadioRipper www.radioripper.net Chatter on their forum indicates that it does splitting, but I haven't used it on any streams with that info.
Very easy to use once a station is on your list. It has Play, Record, and Rebroadcast (up to 7 streams, I think) so you can listen while recording, plus send a stream to other computers in the house while only loading the sending station (and your internet connection) with 1 stream.
That one is windows only with shareware nag window.
Streamripper runs on a variety of OS with a command line interface. It can also rebroadcast, but don't know about splitting. Free.
