Greetings,
I was curious if there's any timeline or estimate on when bootable linux firmware will be available with some form of X on it? One of the main uses I am interested in the 442 is to use for storing/reading ebooks. I am willing to work on porting viewing software (xchm, xpdf, etc) once the firmware & toolchain are available.
Also if the cross compiler/toolchain is (or becomes? wasn't real clear on this in recent msgs on the neuros-linux email list) available are there any emulators for this platform? I don't have a dev board, so something like that would come in handy for testing.

We try to be as cool as possible about returns, but our policy is to not accept returns if the case has been cracked (for obvious reasons). I would reccomend you hack on the dev board for a lot of reasons including future potential, access to ethernet, etc. etc.

I'm also looking for a device (like the upcoming Nokia 770) that I could use for ssh/e-mail/etc. while at work...I think if you can integrate network connectivity and the ability to plug in a USB keybd or mouse, you'll be very competitive.

We are looking into this and still discussing priorities (current HW v. New, etc).
