If you download it, and run it (no install required if you have Java), and do a "rebuild", it will re-read all the files on your device and put them in the database, no fuss. It doesn't need to recopy anything, either. Then you can weed out the folders either by using NDBM, or Windows explorer. |

Posted - 07/23/2004 : 4:19:55 PM Sorry for the hijack, but thought this would be on topic. I've spent the last week getting all my music on the Neuros (don't have usb 2.0 on the comp)
When I update and change the file names, it seems to produce a second file and the first folder is still left in Neuros. What can I do besides going through every folder and seeing if it is the new file or the older one with the old metadata records? What the Folders to be organized just as the NSM is...
Also, when I need to update a tag, how do I direct it to the file that is in the backpack folders? It looks towards the creation files which I need to delete soon (because I had them stored in a seperate folder on the Neuros backpack). Instead of telling me the file is not on the system, I want it to go check its own folder to update the file. I wanna clean up shop. Hope this helps someone else too.

Posted - 07/06/2004 : 2:42:06 PM I would suggest NDBM, which requires Java. http://neurosdbm.sourceforge.net/
Be sure to read the instructions. (Edit: fixed link. Man, you'd think I'd have it by now...) |

you are probably using nsm and you will have to rebuild the database to keep the other music. i would recommend trying another sync manager.
