A few posted queries from the last couple of weeks have gone unanswered: of interest to me:

1) status of a 1 touch record / record indicator without screen option.

2) what recoder II features will be available to the upgraded recorder I via firmware: 640x480 and 16:9 recording, and alternate audio encoding options appeal to me.

3) availability of replacement cables, remote, and charger. (I can help with cables - Parts-Express.com has generic 3.5mm mini to RCA R/W/Y AV cables for cheaps - too bad the 442 doesn't also use them).

Screen clutter? Could you please be more specific?

Any way to be able to turn off the screen clutter? Watching television and seeing something I would like to record is why I purchased this product but I can't stand watching with the constant screen clutter.

I will have to check with our engineers, but I believe hardware limitations prevent us from implemeting a one button recording on the Recorder 1.

I'd like to see Question 1 backed up. No one has definitively said that one-touch recording works now. The enhancement list for the last firmware certainly didn't appear to specify any change toward one-touch recording. So I'd like to hear if anyone has actually done it.

Has anyone actually been able to do one-touch recording?

1) this feature should already be in the new updated firmware if i am not mistaken
2)the recorder I will probable never get 640x480 res. because it does not have enough horsepower.
3)These are not listed on the site yet, but i am sure if you call support you could buy some more.
