What's the policy on moderated messages There's way too much crud showing up lately, and the jerks are winning when people stop reading the forums. There's some form of filter, I hope, that's catching much more than we're seeing. I'd even go for a 'holding' area where volunteer moderators have to review a message before the posting.

At a minimum, maybe there's some volunteers that can respond faster and get these troublemakers out of here

Don't worry guys, I will be on the look out for trouble makers. Expect the forums to go back to normal soon.

Hi All,

Yeah, this guy is a real wacko. I've actually been here, and on the forums since we opened it up 4 years ago, and we've not had this before. It's all one kid with different emails and it just started last night.

I subscribe to every post on the forum, and I actually IM'd the tech late last night and he pulled most of them. There were a number more, actually. Joe can weigh in, but this is probably a 13 year old kid who will tire himself out soon. In the meantime, we can just keep pulling them as they come, or maybe do some sort of temporary plan with volunteers. I know there's actually some new tracking tools now and some spammers got caught and fined recently, so we'll work on that end too.

Our apologies for the inconvenience.
K

I'd be happy to volunteer as well. There's no reason why a username like the one above should ever be allowed to post. That's the type of idiot who's the first to complain when 'rights' aren't as free as they once were.

Very good idea regarding the "holding area" and volunteer moderators. I'd volunteer to "keep it" clean, I'm always online with my job, so it wouldn't be much of a toughie to view the messages from my end.

I was shocked when I read the "trash" this AM.
