Posted - 02/14/2006 : 2:52:24 PM My Neuros has a 20 GB hard drive. I have a spare 30 GB laptop hard drive that I put in a USB 2.0 enclosure case. Can I format that as FAT32, transfer my songs, than stick it in the Neuros and have it work? Since I don't really want to transfer 22 GB over USB1. |

Posted - 03/14/2006 : 11:29:20 AM The hard drive will have to match the specifics of the ones we use (rpm speed, physical size, etc). It sounds like as long as the drive are near identical and formated correctly on your computer they should work. As for dj_ion_stl(at)hotmail.com, is the hard drive new or used? Does it work on your computer's IDE cable?

Posted - 03/10/2006 : 4:56:51 PM I also have replaced a dead hard drive with a pre-formatted one, but the Neuros tries to format the drive unsuccessfully and the it just hangs. Any suggestions?

Posted - 02/17/2006 : 4:19:28 PM I have done with with my Neuros I unit. But I also have heard a tech swear it can not be done....
But the hard drive I put in there was replacing a bad one. The hard drive I replaced it with was the same model number.
I just happened to have it laying around!
Good luck James
