During a large sync the Neuros II HD tends to heat up quite a bit, maybe if there was a small vent or something to allow it to stay cooler.

The best way to keep it cool would be to have part of the player made of aluminum. The metal can act as a heatsink for the hard drive and other components. The metal will get warm, but probably not much warmer than the backpack gets (unless the drive is a real heater).

That would be a good idea, however, what kind of jumk would end up inside as a result. I have a laptop cooler that I put the Neuros on when doing large synchs.
