I tried to upgrade and now have this message on my neuros:
"NO PROGRAM
Version 1.60"
Tell me there's a way out of this? please? i followed a step someone posted that omitted the bootloader install info. Now I have no bootloader i assume. Did i just get a 120$ doorstop? Help! |

do you have the older woot version, or have you purchased it recently?
on my ftp I might have what you need. in the recorder folder i have a firmware file and a help file that max fix this (how to revert to old firmware 1.01). download both and follow the instructions. this should at least get you going again.

Use word to create a blank text file and call it UPGRADE with LOG as the extension. So it should look like UPGRADE.LOG
Copy and paste the file onto your SD or CF card, then switch the recorder from PC to TV. Wait for the update to finish installing the firmware.

kcf45: I sent you an email about fixing your firmware...
for all others: the stock firmware for the new version of recorders is now on my ftp. So if you accidentaly updated your new recorder with the woot version update you should be able to restore it now.
edit: this update is the same process as before. the file contains a readme as well.

Question: will any of the new features advertised for the Recorder II make it into my version of the Recorder via firmware upgrade (assuming, of course, I can ever upgrade my firmware again)?
640x480 vga, 16:9 wqvga, and AAC-LA audio encoding would be neat. |
