I have recently experienced a problem where a 16 min WMA music file plays fine to about the 6 min mark and then sounds distorted and quickly skips along to the end. It has also caused the 442 to hangup and require a reset on a couple attempts to play it all the wat thru. I can fast forward just past the 6 min mark and the file will continue play correctly to the end. I can also play the same file with no problems on my PC using windows Media player as well as on my Creative Zen. I have deleted the file and reloaded it to my 442 but it continues to have the same issue in exactly the same point in the song file.
Has Anyone else experienced this type of problem?

I have a similar problem. Some wma's ripped with audiograbber simply won't play on the Neuros 442 although they all are playing fine on my PC,while with other tracks from the same CD there is no problem. Rudi

How many files of that length have you tried? It could simply be that WMA.

This is the only WMA file I have found so far that has experienced this specific problem but then I don't play many music files on the 442. The same file however plays fine on the Creative Zen Mp3 player and Im wondering why the 442 has a problem with it.

Go into the song properties and see if there are any comments in the song summary section, if you see any random numbers or letter in the comments, please delete these and click apply, if this does not help, please contact support@neurosaudio.com

The comments field showed "allofmp3.com" I deleted that but it did not correct the problem. I have other mp3 files from allofmp3.com and they play fine on the 442.
