After 15 - 20 minutes of video playback through my television, the audio starts to go bad. It sounds like some sort of light thumping that accompanies sounds (vs silence) on XviD AVIs. It makes the video nearly unwatchable.
Anyone else encounter this problem?

I am going to suggest that it has something to do with the xvid that you are playing. it might have some settings or something that the 442 does not support. try converting the file or try a different file and see if the problem affects all files.

When I was a kid my mom used to tell me that curiosity killed the cat...What she forgot to tell me was that it also discovered the cat, invented the lightbulb, and forged the Neuros

This has happened with several files, but I will investigate further and see if I can nail down some specifics.

It was suggested elsewhere that perhaps upgrading the cables would be a good idea. Is the Line Out from the 442 classified as "Mini A/V". I can't find the term used in any official documentation.
