I am new to the neuros, and to putting video on a pocket pc.
I just want to put an hour of Scooby Doo on a memory card so as to entertain my granddaughter on short trips.
When I record to a SD card, I can play the video on my Axim X3i with Windows Media Player 9, but I get no sound.
I am sure this is a "codec" problem, but don't know how to get the proper audio codec on my pocket pc.
"Googling" the question brought me here, and I am sure this basic question has been asked and answered before but I can't find a thread.
Help appreciated.
Regards,
Alsoran

I did get this detailed instruction set from Neuros Support:
"Hello,
You would have to download the G.726 codec for media player.
Neuros Support" .................................
All a guy can ask for when dealing with new technology is quality support from the tech types...
All a guy can expect is another story!

Found this on the web:
"Codec problems also hindered my efforts to play the video on a Medion Pocket PC. The Windows Mobile version of WMP 9 handled the video flawlessly, but didn't produce any sound because it doesn't support G.726"
I did not see any mention of this limitation in the ads before I purchased the Recorder 1.
It advertised itself as practically seamless.
The marketing arm of this Electronic Behemoth "Neuros" seems to never have used the product themselves.

And then I went to
www.free-codecs.com/download/Sharp_G726_Audio_Codec.htm
But this link downloads to a pc... it is "not a valid pocketpc application".
Does anyone know where or how to download the codec straight to a pocketpc?
Note to Neuros support: No fair replying "Yes".

| Have you tried the Core Pocket Media Player? It should be included with the Recorder II, but you can get it here: http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about (download link is in upper-left corner). |
