OK. Im thinking of buying this product and i live in the U.K. Im going to buy it from another company in Japan. However i was wandering if i need anyhting e.g adapters. I no ill need a plug adapter to convert the american plug but will i need anything elseAlso i was wandering when you are recording do you need to leave it on the channel or can you change channel whilst it is recording.

I don't know about the adapters question, but it records from the input source, if you're using a cable box or something as the recording source and you flip the channel it'll just keep recording whatever the cable box is sending out. You don't control the channel with the NMR II.

Yes the 1gb pro duo will work, and you can fit about 2 hours of video at Normal quality on that card or about 4 hours of Economic quality. I would reccommend Normal, because Economic looks poor in my opinion.
