Good Morning ...

Does anyone have any recommendations on the best device to transfer content from the MPEG recorder to the PC? I want to transfer content at 640x480 (TV) so I will need 1GB+ correct?

Are the micro-drives the way to go? and if so, anyone havea recommendation of what and where to get them?

Thanks

Gordon

It sounds like you are actually asking about storage cards, not transferring capabilities.

First, what requirements do your other devices introduce? For example, if you have a PSP, you'll want a Memory Stick; if you have a PDA with a Compact Flash slot, you'll need a CF card; and if you need SD, you bought the wrong Neuros. ;) If you have a card reader for your computer that reads all types, and that's all you're worried about, you can get either a Memory Stick or a Compact Flash.

Once you've decided on a media type, just get the best value you can find on the largest capacity you can afford. Based on what I've read here, the Neuri don't seem to like MicroDrives, so I wouldn't recommend one at this point. CF cards are likely to be cheaper than MS, but since memory prices are constantly changing and vary by location, you'll probably have to do a little comparison shopping on your own.

Read FJ's comment about Datatel's 4GB microdrive (and it works)
You can purchase a cheap CF to IDE (3.5inch)adaptor that fits in the front of your PC. It is installed just like another hard drive with the CF slot in the front of the pc.

You can see here:

Be wary of cheaper Microdrives. Even if it is a Hitachi brand.
Alot of the microdrives offered (very cheap) are ones that are removed from mass produced OEM MP3 players. The Creative Nomad 4GB MuVo2 is an example. It was cheaper to buy the Nomad for its 4GB microdrive then it was to buy a drive.
The problem with this situation is that the microdrive has been purposely disabled for ATA mode and only works in True IDE mode. It will not be recognized in alot of other portable digital devices.
