My wife has several large mp3 recordings (~10MB each) that she would like to play on the neuros. But after selecting a recording, the neuros simply skips to the next recording, and then the next, and then the next... Other mp3 and ogg files play normally.

The files appear to be encoded with a 24kbps bitrate and 22050 Hz sample rate.

Any suggestions?

That really shoul,dn't be a problem as these files are only about an hour long.  Nothing it should balk at.  Check to see if the files will play on your computer, as I play 2 hour long WAV files without a problem ~ 1.3 gigs.

The files in question play just fine in amaroK (http://amarok.kde.org/). Any other ideas?

I have a N2 player with a N1 backpack. Firmware 2.28, sync with Sorune via usb 2.0->hub->card.

I'm trying to find the best bitrate to encode ogg-vorbis files. I had tried putting wavs on my N2 but the player's interface was so slow to respond that I gave that up. Now I have 320 nominal bitrate and 44100 sample rate and it sounds like crap on the N2. Garbled, wavy sound! These same files sound great on the computer.  All the files are 10+ mb.

Too strange for me.
