Ugrade firmware for original Recorder??

I have both the newer R2 and the original Recorder...

I have upgraded the R2 to the newest version firmware. Can find no updates for the original Recorder unit and the ones posted on the Nueros site do not seem to work with it ( they also state only for the R2 ).

Is there an update for the original? my menu screens seem to already look different than the ones shown on many review websites. Mine are bright blue with simple graphic images - where the ones shown online have more of a dark background and more text labels. Is my orginal Recorder firmware older or newer?

We apologize, but we do not offer any updates for the Recorder 1, we had an issue before in the past.  There were certain Recorder 1's, that when you upgraded the firmware, it will cause the unit to crash, and completely break the firmware.  This is why we dont offer that firmware upgrade anymore.
