Title: Can I record/playback form the network?
Post by: B.Waite on October 26, 2006, 01:39:32 PM
Hi, all.

Is it possible to configure the Neuros OSD to record/play files to/from a network fileshare?

My AV setup is toddler-proofed, and generally inaccessible.  This makes switching DVDs bothersome.  If the Neuros OSD can play files from the Mac in my office, I'd be in heaven.

Thanks!

Hi, Waite,
It's  impossible to configure the OSD to record/play file  to/from a network fileshare.

But we have a idea, maybe osd can support record/play file to/from a network fileshare in LAN.
Same as mount a network disk to OSD filebrower list.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I would love to be able to plug my OSD into the network and be able to access my shared folders where I store my movies + music. Can the OSD not do this at all at the moment?

It cannot do it just yet, but we are getting very close:
