Title: SD card -> crash, cf out of sync Post by: cf394 on October 26, 2006, 11:12:51 PM Just got the neuros osd today and started to play around. couldn't record at all with an SD card (that shows up as MMC on the file browser), crashed the osd every time. I then tried with a microdrive which doesn't crash the machine and seems to work but the video and the audio are out of sync ... any tips on how I get basic recording to work?
Thanks, Chris Title: Re: SD card -> crash, cf out of sync Post by: caven on October 27, 2006, 04:28:50 AM Hi Chris,
Could you tell me the detail info. of your SD card which crashed the osd every time? Such as manufactory of SD card, size and so on. We will check the issue you refer. Title: Re: SD card -> crash, cf out of sync Post by: cf394 on October 27, 2006, 08:16:06 AM Sure, it's a Panasonic SD 512MB Pro High Speed, I use this one for photography mostly.
http://www.dpreview.com/news/0409/04092801panasonic_prohighspeed.asp Any idea about the out-of-sync issue? the video recorded on the CF card plays back too fast while the audio goes at the right speed. At the end of the video clip, the picture freezes while the audio finishes, then it starts all over with the next saved clip ... Let me add here that I used that card to update the firmware and I can play an avi that I encoded for my palm from it just fine. So the problem is somewhere with the recording or possibly writting. I also tried various different framerates, quality settings etc. -> no difference. Title: Re: SD card -> crash, cf out of sync Post by: kelly on October 29, 2006, 08:00:36 PM Chris,do you record AVI files ? If you record AVI files, the out-of-sync issue while playing the record AVI files is still a problem in OSD version 3.21-0.21,you can see the detail information on : http://bugzilla.neurostechnology.com/show_bug.cgi?id=609
Title: Re: SD card -> crash, cf out of sync Post by: cf394 on October 30, 2006, 03:09:39 PM Kelly, yes, the sync problems were with AVI files. Where do I find version 3.21-0.21? The normal firmware update link still seems to point to .020
Another problem I noticed (this is MP4 with MP3) recording is that the framerate recorded doesn't always correspond with what is set, i.e. recording from an NTSC source seems to record at 30 fps although I set 24 fps. Further, I've noticed that the resolution settings seem to have no or very little effect on the quality of the recorded video, i.e. it's very blocky. Title: Re: SD card -> crash, cf out of sync Post by: kelly on November 07, 2006, 07:54:13 PM Thank you for your notice,I also test the Framrate and Bitrate,i find that this problem only happen when record MP4 files.I log it to bugzilla: http://bugzilla.neurosaudio.com/show_bug.cgi?id=800. if you have more information about it.you can add to bugzilla.
