Title: component cables? Post by: cjgunit on November 04, 2006, 03:24:19 PM does neuros have component cables available to purchase for the mpeg4 recorder? my digital cable box does not support the A\V cables supplied with the recorder. only component and HDMI. any suggestions? thanks.
Title: Re: component cables? Post by: dongle on November 05, 2006, 04:08:29 AM Are you absolutely sure there are no RCA (composite video) or S Video connectors on your cable box ?. This problem has cropped up a few times and alternate connectors have been "discovered" !.
You cannot connect component video to the R2. It will only accept composite video. However, if you have a DVD recorder/ VHS recorder (highly unlikely) that has component video connections you may be able to use another connector (SCART/RCA) on this device to output composite video. Another possibility is that your TV may have an analogue output that will work. Failing all this you will need to find a component/composite converter - expensive !. |
