Title: OSD cannot create video for Sony PSP Post by: Roy on November 22, 2006, 08:23:44 PM Plug Sony PSP via USB to OSD (3.25-0.27),
Goto Recorder, select "Sony PSP" in "Target Device", Start recording with "Recording Path = /media/usbdisk1", "Recorder error message: Path not exist! Please set record path again" appeared So I change the Recording Path by clicking enter, select /media/usbdisk1/mp_root/100mnv01", save Start recording again and the same error message appeared. I have no problem playing back the videos created/stored using PC into the PSP via the OSD "File Browser". When I select "Target Device=Unkown", I can start recording. But the filename is "OSD-23-09-01.MP4" instead of "m4v100xx.mp4" Only the latter convention can be recognised by PSP as video. I change the name to the latter convention, I can see it on PSP under "Video" icon as "Unsupported Data". I guess it is not H.264 format. Next, I also noticed that the resolution that OSD supported is different from R2. OSD has 352x288, 480x384, 512x400, 640x512 R2 has 176x144, 320x240, 176x120, 320x240, 368x208, 320x240, 640x480 Anyone can help? Title: Re: OSD cannot create video for Sony PSP Post by: kelly on November 23, 2006, 03:07:21 AM There are folder named 101mnv01 in your PSP?
Because Sony PSP still are improved now,if there are not 101mnv01 in your PSP,It will can't find the path to record. So if you want to record video to your PSP,please create 101mnv01 in mp_root in your PSP, then select "Sony PSP" in "Target Device", Start recording with "Recording Path = /media/usbdisk1", or select /media/usbdisk1/mp_root/101mnv01". to see whether it can work. Check the file browser, if you can see the content on the MS in your PSP, you should be able to record using the parameters you described in your post (I was even able to record using the 480x320 resolution). If you don't see the content on your PSP, try to reboot the OSD with the PSP connected to it via USB (still on USB mode).
FJ Title: Re: OSD cannot create video for Sony PSP Post by: Roy on November 23, 2006, 08:07:33 PM Thank you Kelly and FJ for trying to help.
However, I have already done that before my initial posting. I have mentioned earlier that "I have no problem playing back the videos created/stored using PC into the PSP via the OSD "File Browser". That means that I can see the content on my PSP and the folder "101mnv01" is already created in the PSP. If I did not connected my PSP, the message is "No storage found, unable to record" . FJ, you mentioned "480x320 resolution", but I cannot find this resolution in the "Video Recorder Advanced Settings", the resolutions I saw are only 352x288, 480x384, 512x400, 640x512. Maybe, there are some bugs in 3.25-0.27. Title: Re: OSD cannot create video for Sony PSP Post by: FJ on November 24, 2006, 06:26:26 PM My bad the resolution should indeed be 480x384.
Here is my setup and recording parameters: PSP (Firmware 2.80) on USB mode connected to OSD via USB cable MP4 Video, AAC Audio, 320x240 (352x288), USBDisk1 I use a 1GB Sandsik MS Pro Duo Card. Recordings made from a cable box and a DVD player. I also tried to change the name of a file from OSD **-**-**.MP4 to M4V*****.MP4 and it worked. I put the file in the 101MNVo1 Folder. I will try a few more things and get back to you if I figure someting else this WE. FJ |
