1  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - I need help! / Trying to bypass remote...use Telnet...what's the Neuros Login and password? on: November 06, 2006, 01:54:07 PM
Why is finding documentation so difficult?  So far the only thing I have found is the Quick Start guide.

Can anyone provide links to any documentation?  Can't find the Neuros Login name or password for Telnet anywere.

Tried these forums searching keyword TELNET and the wiki sites, but no luck.

Thanks for any assistance...again.   LOL
2  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - I need help! / Remote issues - Do I have a bad unit? on: November 06, 2006, 12:47:25 PM
Hi everyone.
I've been anxious to see what the OSD will evolve into, but am frustrated and suspect a hardware issue.

From day one out of the box I've had issues with the remote reception of the OSD unit.
It seems I have to point it down at the top right corner from within 2 feet of the unit to get it to respond at all.  And even then I have to hit the buttons on the remote numerous times to get a response.  A couple of weeks ago I tried the thing listed here in the forums about resetting the remote, that did nothing.  I thought I'd wait a bit to see if others had this problem, but I see nothing.

I suspect I have a bad unit that had an extremely week and narrow field of reception of the remote signal.

How do I get the unit replaced?  Anyone else have to return one that has a link to where to send it for repair/replacement?

I'm using the most current firmware: 3.25-0.23  (Nov 2, 2006)
I've replaced the batteries in the remote.
I've tested the signal from the remote, it's there (aimed at IR camera and see the light from the remote's IR transmitter BRIGHTLY)
I have another universal remote I 'trained' to some of the buttons on the OSD remote and get the same results when I try using it; I have to get right up to within 2 feet of it and aim down at the upper right corner to get even sporadic response to the remote signal.

Thanks in advance for any assistance/direction.
