The Neuros OSD is on sale at Buy.com and Thinkgeek.com
The Neuros OSD connects to your TV or home theater system and allows you to archive all of your DVD and video content.

Plug the Neuros OSD into your TV, connect your DVD Player or VCR, and hit play. Your movie will be safely and legally transferred into a digital library! It works with home movies too. Just plug your video camera into the OSD, push play, and your memories are digitized.

With the Neuros OSD, you can store hundreds of hours of video in one location (like an external hard drive), get rid of those bulky cases, put an end to DVD damage, and instantly access any of your videos with the push of a button on a remote. You can even transfer your video content to a portable device (video iPod, PSP, mobile phone, etc.) to watch on the go, or email your home movies to friends and family.

How to record and play back video on the Sony PSP with the Neuros OSD

Recording to the PSP
Files recorded for PSP using the Neuros OSD PSP Recording Setting will be named and saved according to Sony PSP specific architecture, naming structure and file type. This is needed to assure that these files will be playable on your PSP. You have the option to record content directly onto the PSP using the USB connection, or on a flash card (preferably Memory Dtick Duo and PRO Duo storage accepted by the PSP).

Recording directly to the PSP

  1. Insert Memory Stick in your PSP

Recording and playing back video on your Neuros OSD

Here is a video tutorial to show you how easy it is to record video from any source and play it back on your television:

Firmware Version 2.0.22

This version of firmware adds additional functionality to the Auto Record feature.
As long as the unit is set to Auto Record and is turned on, it will start recording when it detects an A/V signal and stop recording when it doesn't.
It will repeat this process every time as long as the unit is on and there is room on your storage card.

------------------NOTE: IF YOU ARE UPGRADING FROM A VERSION LOWER THAN 2.X.X-----------------
-----------------------------YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL VERSION 2.0.12 FIRST!--------------------------

Upgrade instructions:

1. Check out which version of firmware you currently have on the Recorder
2. Go to the Setup Menu, click on the Enter Button on the remote and scroll down to the second page of the menu. If you already have version v2.0.22 on your unit, you do not need to upgrade the Recorder.
3. You should format the flash card you will use to upgrade the Recorder 2.
a. If you use a memory stick, format the card with the PSP.
b. If you use a CF card, format the card with the Recorder 2. Go to the Setup Menu, scroll down to Format Disk, click enter and when prompted if you want to format, highlight Yes and click on the Enter button on the remote.
4. Download the firmware file "VCR4800.bin". Cut and Paste the VCR4800.BIN file on your freshly formatted card (you will need a card reader if you don’t have a flash card slot on your PC).
5. Insert the card in the appropriate card slot of the Recorder 2.
6. You Recorder will have to be connected to your TV and powered on.
7. Use the Arrow on the remote to navigate the Menu on the top of your TV screen and highlight the Setup Menu. Click on the Enter button to enter this menu.
8. Highlight the Upgrade option using the remote. This is the last option at the bottom right of your screen and click on the Enter button.
9. When Prompted if you want to upgrade select Yes and click on the Enter button.
10. The upgrade will take one minute and the unit will shut itself off.
11. Power the unit on and check the firmware version as described in 1. You should now see v02.0.22
