Posted - 07/17/2004 : 11:58:54 PM Did not want to confuse this with the be all end all threads on ogg's. Got a Neuros II for my backpack and what a difference. I have had it a couple days, but spent time fixing a couple bugs. Today was the first time I tested the improved MiFi. I drive a 04' 300M in Ann Arbor/Detroit, MI area. I use to have trouble staying on one station on long trips, but the increased in freq avaliable fixed that. In addition, the range was limited to the front seat area to keep static to a min. Today I had the unit 10' outside the car w/NO static. I will try more range testing later. I wonder.....if I do the RF mod, How far can I go?
DI, has there been a change to the RF jack? or is the set up the same?

Posted - 07/19/2004 : 5:12:11 PM Webkid, I manualy tuned as well with poor results. I now will not blame the difference on the antena location. Today I have lost MiFi totaly. I need to search the forum to see if there is a known problem, but I can no longer broadcast.

Posted - 07/18/2004 : 7:00:57 PM Just FYI, autoscan does not function that well. Try finding a station on your car radio that is close to white noise (ie evenly distributed static sounds) then tune the Neuros to that frequency. |

Posted - 07/18/2004 : 5:18:33 PM Wife had my car today, which allowed for testing on the family hauler. Results were not as impressive. 95 Windstar w/ antena mounted on the right front fender. My car has a windshield antena. Weather was poor which my have had some affect as well. I had to let MiFi scan for the best station to have a chear broadcast, but distance was limited.
Jeff - Thanks for the info.
