Posted - 09/30/2004 : 12:11:15 AM I have been out of the Neuros scene for about a month or so, so I'm not sure if this problem existed in previous FWs or not. I brought my Neuros in from my car to upgrade the FW to 2.25 today. The FW upgrade process went as expected and I powered down the Neuros and left it on my desk. A few hours later I was working on my computer at my desk when I heard the Neuros "click" as it does when the hard drive is first spinning up to do something. It was the distictive first click it makes and nothing else. I quickly looked at the Neuros but it sat happily on my desk still powered off. I assumed I was going insane, as usual, and went back to my computing. A bit later I heard the same click again, but the Neuros remained off. Has anyone else experienced this issue and/or does anyone know what this is? For the record, I'm using the 128M head unit with the 20G USB 1.1 backpack. |

Posted - 10/08/2004 : 05:49:45 AM someone posted a bug in bugzilla about a problem that sounds a lot like the problem described here... http://bugzilla.neurosaudio.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=301 |

Posted - 10/05/2004 : 3:06:55 PM Woo! I'm not (overly) crazy either!
In other words, I've had this issue for quite some time but never could actually CATCH the Neuros doing it outside some click that was conspicuously similar to the Neuros' drive. I've never actually been next to the thing when it does that enough to be able to say with definitive certainty that it is the device. But, man, it's the exact sound... |

Posted - 10/04/2004 : 4:50:09 PM I have heard this since before 2.24. This issue has been around for a while from my standpoint. I follow your description to the "T". My Neuros will be sitting on my desk powered off and I will hear the hard drive click as if it is powering on, but there is no hard drive activity flash on the display or no activity at all on the display for that matter. Very unusual, but doesn't seem to hurt anything...except maybe it's a battery drain.... What does the Neuros team think about this?? |

Seriously, what's new in 2.25?
The HiSi button is disabled when playing music. That's the biggest change. |
