Posted - 10/24/2004 : 10:07:51 PM Well I been playing with the Sync Database software and have just a couple ideas already on improving it. First off I would get rid of the icon system whereby you have the music note with a plus sign or negative sign. I would add ledger lines to the layout so that you can easily see the layout section. I would also make each line item have its own color so that the format of the line is colored depending on whether its on neuros, to be deleted, etc.. Make its easy to see and navigate. I also think there should be an auto seqencing method. I had to do alot of that by hand. But what would be nice to to create a playlist and then copy all your files to the playlist in the order you want and then have it automatically sequence depending on the drop order in the Sync software. Since I take Bible mp3's with me on the road I can easily have 150 tracks in a playlist such as the case with Psalms for example. What would seem like an easy companion for the program is to also link it with some of the auto tagging services that are now out there such as musicbrainz and others. I think another great feature would be to add an auto genre creating program that analyzes a song to FIT it into predefined or custom genre catagories that someone has created. I might just create a piece of software to do that part for me and post it here.

Posted - 10/25/2004 : 09:09:57 AM Bible MP3s? I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but haven't really found one I like. I work in a Christian organization (Answers in Genesis) and we sell an MP3 Bible (Listener's Bible), but it's NIV and there's weird music in the background.
If you got something else, did you buy it as MP3 or rip the CDs?
