Posted - 04/13/2005 : 11:29:48 PM I would like to see a browse album by artist; with 20gb+ of music, sometimes it's hard to remember the name of an album; it would also provide quicker access to certain artists;
maybe also add the option to scale another level of alpha browsing: you could just browse artist/albums/songs by groups of letters like if you browse artist you would hit a level that would have like A-C, D-F, F-J: when you have thousands of songs, it can get tiresome having to click through a million names to get to a certain album or artist
This alpha browsing could be set in the sync manager to group things however the user wanted- you could have like A-C and then C-Z if you wanted. |

Posted - 04/15/2005 : 5:53:09 PM I believe your queue suggestion is covered in this BugZilla entry. I strongly suggest you setup a BugZilla account and add your vote to the entries you support. Doing so can and does get them done faster.
As for your 2nd suggestion, technically the menus ARE editable, but there is no user-level tool to do so (AFAIK). There was/is talk about adding the capability to the Neuros DataBase Manager. Search here for "menu". If you know anything about Java, perhaps you can contribute?

Posted - 04/14/2005 : 7:46:52 PM Thanks guys- I updated my firmware last night and found my first request was added. Thanks for telling me about the other option though- that is nice.
I have another suggestion. I really like the ability to append a track to the current queue- that is very awesome. What I would like to see is the ability to append a whole album.
Also, when you're playing a track, it would be nice if the local menu included a shortcut to the artist by album menu. Actually everything in that little menu could be user definable- I think the DJ option is cool but I can't imagine when I would ever use it.
I've had my neuros II for a day now and I have to say I really like it a lot. I work at eBay and there are a lot techies and pod people here that I've been making jealous with the interface and hardware features that make this player freakin' sweet. The sad thing is that out of all of my friends, only one person has heard of neuros and he only heard of the first one and all of the problems associated with it. I just hope for the next generation you guys expand production and maybe reach out to some of the major retailers to get some better visibility.
Thanks! |

If you press the ff or rw buttons while browsing a long list, it will skip to the next letter or previous letter. It doesn't _exactly_ provide what you're asking for, but cuts down on the clicking. |

Posted - 04/14/2005 : 2:02:38 PM Your first request is already implemented. Neuros Audio \ Albums \ Artists
The 2nd is a good request. There is an entry in BugZilla for a similar request, but it only covers the file browser.
