I have upgraded to the 1.2.4 version and I want the old version back, as my machine now freezes when viewing pictures.

Just as a follow up, here is a link to the new firmware. I am pretty sure all of the photo issues have been ironed out.

Build your own firmware with Linux (using wine)

You might want to post a message here (link below)for old versions of any Neuros Firmware. Some of the developers have kept to compare.

Derek has a FTP site that had all the older versions of firmware.
It's not always up and you may have to try several different times.

I'm sure Neuros tests their software fairly well before releasing it to the public. Being from the software world myself (but NOT at Neuros), I know it's hard to test for every case and that sometimes problems can occur that cannot seem to be easily replicated by the software developers.

Also, sometimes functionality of one section of code that was working well and had been tested can be adversely affected by changes in another section of the code, seeming unrelated, because a link between the two sections was overlooked or not considered.

In addition to that, sometimes minor differences in hardware, even though designed to the same specs, may cause slight changes in how software works. Maybe a component gets too hot, or maybe a resister or capaciter is getting into ranges beyond it's tolerance. Intermittent problems are the hardest bugs to track.

I had a problem with a computer once and I couldn't figure out the problem. It would work for maybe 20 minutes after booting, then have random lockups. It took me forever to discover that the processor was heating up and needed a cooling fan mounted to it. Once I did that, the problem went away.

I'm sure Neuros can provide old firmwares if you email them.

I've experienced the same; and others have also reported numerous times without a response.
