Posted - 09/17/2004 : 9:04:39 PM I have over 6000 songs on my 40gb neuros series 2. I noticed when I imported songs into the NSM many of the id3 tags were not imported correctly. The Artist and album information was lost. My second problem... When I go to edit the files individually the program is terribly slow. It is almost like it rebuilds the entire database with every change. It would be nice if the interface were easier to update the track info. Also it would be wise to not force the program to completely recompile the databse every time one song changes but to have the program update the db when the unit is synchronized. |

Posted - 11/10/2004 : 1:24:51 PM I agree. it's WAY to slow. modifying info on say one complete album takes minutes and i don't think that's acceptible... the only solutyion now is to go through all the files with some other app for editing tags and that means you can't just add all your files to the NSM database at once... really crappy if yoy ask me...then again it's the only thing about the neuros that really bugs me... it's turned out very nice and stable...not like it was when i first bought it... |

Posted - 09/17/2004 : 9:07:11 PM That's what it's supposed to do, but alas.
Try NDBM: http://neurosdbm.sf.net It's a handy alternative. Editing tags is pretty simple, too. |
