Since you like Sunny Day, you might want to check out the now defunct Hum

My full playlist (pure amazing metal):
http://unknownlamer.org/files/temp/plist.html

I have a bunch of albums in the mail too (the last three years of Dream Theater fan club albums, the rest of the Opeth albums, some Finntroll, and a bunch of stuff I keep forgetting about because I order CDs from many different places and they arrive one or two discs at a time continuously).

Yeah, I wear a metal jacket, drive a 91 Camaro, and have sideburns...typical true metal head :)

The only thing I can think of that you're REALLY missing dagger,is Opeth. You get some Opeth on the list and you'll be all set. :) (And, if you can find it, some of Depswa's old stuff. Before they sold out and became a boy band... bastards... >:( )

(unknown lamer has Opeth on his list, so he gets my seal of approval. :)

Dagger, you better bow some more ;)

I got Orchid, Morningrise, and Still Life by Opeth the other day. My family came back from Florida today and my brother convinced my aunt to get me a second Opeth shirt from this really cool record shop (Atlantic Records on the mainland a few blocks down from the big bridge to get onto Daytona Beach if anyone is every around there and wants to see a record shop run by TRUE metalheads). I saw Opeth last month with DevilDriver (guh, it's like redneck death metal + Coal Chamber = SUCKS...now they are touring with N*Flaymz in Europe) and Moonspell (Goth metal is ok...until the singer commands the audience to summon ME-PHI-STOOOOOO). It was such a good show because they played a set comprised mostly of songs they had never played live in the US before so it was all new.

I still need to get Finntroll, Tiamat, Marduk, etc. and some more mainstream stuff (just the good stuff like Tool and A Perfect Circle). There are a few obscure German Black/Goth Metal (Goth Metal in this case being more doomy black metal and NOT Power Noise because Power Noise makes me want to commit suicide). Basilisk (http://basilisk.de ) is an excellent Power/Doom/Goth/Black (hah, that's what they call themselves) band. The songs are in German so you may not be able to get into them as much as those of us who can speak German (well, at least for me, "speak" is subjective...)

The best part about my playlist is that I actually own every single album there. I should post a photo of my CD racks.

Unknown lamer, if you're a fan of goth, have you ever listened to Draconian or The 69 Eyes? I only have a few songs by Draconian, but what I do have is quite interesting. The 69 Eyes is somewhat goth, but not too much so. Very similar to Type O Negative.

Meshuggah is ... crazy goy music :) It's so weird, like futuristic death thrash.

I don't really like Goth. I got the Type O Negative album because it is funny...one day I will cover the album and do it death metal style where it will really shine.

Hey dagger, Acid Bath is my all time favorite metal band. It sucked when Audie died. I checked out the Agents of Oblivion album, but I wasn't too happy with the production. How is Deadboy and the Elephantmen? I can't find any audio samples anywhere on the web.
