A week ago today (Sunday) I ordered my Neuros 128/20 bundle from DI. I recieved an email confirming my order and telling me that the package shipped (along with tracking #) on Thursday. So I head over to the FedEx site and put in my tracking #. Apparently the package shipped Wendsday night:
Aug 11, 2004 7:31 pm Departed FedEx sort facility CAROL STREAM, IL
5:59 pm Scanned at FedEx sort facility CAROL STREAM, IL 3:44 pm Picked up by FedEx CAROL STREAM, IL Aug 10, 2004 4:04 pm Package information transmitted to FedEx CAROL STREAM, IL ---------
So basically the package left the sort facilty Wednesday and is on the way? That's 4 days with no status update. Is this normal? Sorry if I'm jumping the gun a bit. The package isn't scheduled for delivery until Tuesday (I live in LA if that matters as far as delivery goes).
I just can't wait to get my Neuros.

My father did a whole lot of shipping of videoconference hardware around the US. He's especially intimate with FedEx, and his personal opinion is that your package is "lost". This is apparently not uncommon, and typically means the label became damaged or unscannable and they are trying to figure out where it's going.
Good ol' FedEx. Though it's not like UPS or even the Postal Service is much better. If you need something done right...

Was it shipped FedEx ground or FedEx air? If it was shipped FedEx ground, then much like UPS, the package spends the bulk of it's time in a truck, where you won't see another scan until the truck reaches the destination sorting center and is unloaded.

| Typically it should make a stop to be scanned between Illinois and California, and if not, it should take four days to get there (if it's a direct, non-stop truck) |
